John Russo and Mike Zizza, while having a cup of coffee, concurred about eating well and healthy, and how much they and their families both loved home made pasta and Italian cooking.

Ironically, the two men were born, and grew up, in two different worlds. John was born in Italy and Mike was born in Massachusetts. Both, however, experienced the culinary ambiance of the italian north-end of boston. John grew up there and delivered gelato to all the italian restaurants for over 35 years. Mike lived in this same area during and after college.

Life eventually brought them both to Rhode Island where they met. The two of them discovered their similar backgrounds, and talked about their love of cooking and the inspiration began.

John, as an importer of Italian gelato and his Italian history, brings food and kitchen experience. While Mike, an attorney for a hi-tech company, brings his technical and organizational experience to create this unique concept.
